What Will KENET Do For Us When We Register As Members?

- We provide support for Firewall, Mail, DNS and proxy servers.
- We provide the public IP addresses required for the Internet connection.
- We provide support on router configuration and management.
Note that our support is geared at giving institutions capacity to handle their IT operations.
Carefully take note of the following:
KENET does not provide any equipment for connectivity to the registered members.
Therefore, every member institution will be expected to purchase necessary equipment.
KENET does not engage itself with the internal affairs of an institution’s network or IT operations.
This includes cabling, security, software support etc.
However, KENET is always willing to offer consultancy services to its members in line with the institutions IT expansion plans at a reasonable fee.
KENET does not meet the Internet Connection bills for its members. This includes the charges for the data link e.g. the leased line.
