NEWS

Kenya Education Network (KENET) is a National Research and Education Network that promotes the use of ICT in Teaching, Learning and Research in Higher Education Institutions in Kenya.

KENET aims to interconnect all the Universities, Tertiary and Research Institutions in Kenya by setting up a cost effective and sustainable private network with high speed access to the global Internet.

KENET also facilitates electronic communication among students and faculties in member institutions, share learning and teaching resources by collaboration in Research and Development of Educational content.

To drive the integration of ICT in research and learning through quality, cost effective and efficient provision of ICT services and to be a key partner in the development of the ICT society

EU/AU funded AfricaConnect Project

The 14.5 million Euros Africa Connect project aims to interconnect African Research and Education Networks of 13 African countries. KENET is part of the project and will be connected to NRENs in the five neighboring countries of Somalia, Tanzania, Uganda, Ethiopia and Sudan.
