The workshop was held between the 5th to 9th March 2010 and was attended by people across the globe from Africa, Asia, Europe and America. The main aim of the workshop was to give the participants the capacity to implement Computer Response Teams (CERTS) in Africa.

The AFNOG PHEA Intermediary level training was held in Accra, Ghana as from 29th Nov - 14 Dec, 2009, at the Directorate of ICT in the University of Ghana. The training was a continuation of the fundamental level training that was held as from 28th Sept to 4thOctober 2009 also at the same venue focusing on UNIX administration.

KENET held a well attended workshop in Mombasa on the 5and 6 the November 2009 at Serena Beach Hotel and spa in Mombasa. The workshop attracted total of 30 Vice Chancellors or their Deputy Vice Chancellor representatives, 24 ICT Directors, and representatives from the research institutes that are members of KENET, the CEO for the Commission for Higher education attended the forum. During the workshop and discussed the generic accession roadmaps were discussed in details by the various stakeholders. ]]>

In attendance were over fifty faculty and student representatives from different Kenyan Universities which included Moi, Baraton, Egerton, University of Nairobi, Kenyatta University, United States International University, Strathmore University among Others. The breakfast was kindly sponsored by the Kenya ICT Board.
