Scalable Campus Network Training

On April 13th-17st KENET held Scalable Campus Network Training residential hands-on course. The training is an advanced course for experienced network engineers and administrators. We had over 23 trainees from; Public Universities, Private Universities, and Constituent University Colleges.

The training was geared to equip the trainees with the skills to design and build scalable networks within their institutions which would ultimately lead to the network users experiencing better browsing experiences.

Since the advent og supercomputers in the 1960s,High Performance Computing (HPC) which use supercomputers to solve complex computational problems has helped solve business and scientific problems. By combining parallel processing capability, memory and storage capacity, HPC is an increasingly important research tool- considering that research has evolved over time and data is increasing in volumes (Big data).

Faculty Workshop Held On Use Of KENET Virtual Training Lab

Faculty who teach ICT Networking courses benefited from a 3 day workshop hosted by KENET. The workshop which ran from September 18-20, 2017 gave the 25 participants an opportunity to use the KENET virtual  training lab for the first time. The training which was fully funded by KENET strengthened the faculty’s technical capacity so that their students can be more productive.
