Mr. Ezra Chiloba
Ezra Chiloba holds an MSc (Distinction) in Major Programme Management (MMPM) from the University of Oxford (UK) and an MA (Distinction) in Public Policy (MPP) from the Central European University (Hungary). He is a Law graduate from the University of Nairobi and admitted to the Roll of Advocates of the High Court in Kenya.
He is a public sector management leader with a focus on strategy, policy and regulation, governance and management of large and complex projects.
At present, Chiloba is the Director General and CEO of the Communications Authority of Kenya, having been appointed on 4th October 2021. Prior to this appointment, he was a Principal Partner at Chil & Kemp Strategies Ltd, a Strategy Management Company, with assignments on strategy and risk management, policy and regulatory analysis, and leadership and management effectiveness.
Between 2015 - 2018, Mr. Chiloba also served as the Chief Executive Officer of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC). In this role, he was responsible for the management and administration of an unparalleled large-scale and complex national election programme.
Other organisations he has worked for include: United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), Oxfarm Novib, the Kenya National Commission on Human Rights (KNCHR), Policy House and Centre for Minority Rights and Development (CEMIRIDE).
In 2020, Mr Chiloba served as a Board Member of the Youth Enterprise Development Fund, a position he held until his appointment as the Director General of CA.
