Prof. Isaac Sanga Kosgey
Prof. Kosgey is a Professor of Animal Sciences (Animal Breeding and Genetics). He is a Kenyan citizen and currently the Vice-Chancellor of Moi University (Eldoret, Kenya). Isaac holds a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Animal Sciences and a Master of Science degree in Animal Sciences with Distinction from Wageningen University (Wageningen, The Netherlands), a First Class Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Production and a Diploma in Animal Husbandry with Distinction, both from Egerton University (Njoro, Kenya), a Diploma in Law with Distinction from Mt. Kenya University (Thika, Kenya), a Bachelor of Laws with Second Class Honours (Upper Division) from the Open University of Tanzania (Dar es Salaam, Tanzania) and a Master of Business Administration degree from Kenyatta University (Nairobi, Kenya).
He is currently undertaking a Master of Laws degree at the Open University of Tanzania and also awaiting to graduate with a Postgraduate Diploma in Law from the same University. Isaac has wide experience in public and university administration and management, having risen to the current position from the post of Departmental Time-Tabling Officer and Examinations Officer (2004-2005), Chairman of the Department of Animal Sciences (October 24, 2005-September 10, 2006) and Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture (September 11, 2006-September 10, 2010) at Egerton University, Deputy Principal (Administration, Planning and Development) at Laikipia University College of Egerton University (October 3, 2011-February 20, 2013), Acting Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration, Finance and Development) (February 21, 2013-June 17, 2013), Acting Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic and Research; August 12, 2015 - January 04, 2016) and Acting Dean, Institute of Arid Lands Management (May 9, 2012 - October 23, 2014) at Laikipia University, and an Associate Professor of Animal Sciences, specializing in animal breeding and genetics at Egerton University (May 1, 2010 - October 22, 2014).
