To conclude the quiz, you need to submit your answers and then click on the "Exit Safe Exam Browser" button. It's essential to note that once the exam has commenced, re-entering requires explicit authorization from the lecturer. 

I have used SEB for other exams, but now it doesn’t work.

No, SEB is designed to prioritize the security of the exam environment. When launching SEB, a list of applications that SEB intends to close will be displayed. For each application, users are prompted to confirm before it is closed. If there is any uncertainty, users can select Cancel, allowing them to manually close the listed applications after SEB has closed. 

It is advisable to close all other applications before starting and refrain from launching SEB if there are unsaved documents open. This ensures a smoother and controlled exam environment. 

Why do I see the error message “Virtual Machine Detected” 

The quiz is set to "Block concurrent connections," and either you closed SEB before the exam concluded or you are attempting to use more than one device simultaneously. To resolve this, exit and return to the exam using a single device. 

I have opened SEB, but I haven’t started the exam and I see the error message “Reconfiguration denied: You are not authorized to reconfigure SEB”. What do I need to do? 

This happens when the lecturer has modified the SEB configuration after the student has logged in.  In this case, simply close SEB and re-start it. 

Does SEB operate in the background when not in use? 

No, once SEB is closed, it does not run in the background, and it does not send any data or information about your computer to external servers.  

What browser data can SEB access? 

SEB is an independent browser, a personalized derivation of Chromium.  SEB therefore does not have any information on the user’s usual navigation, as it is used only for the exam.
