KENET CHUI HPC Cluster
CHUI HPC Cluster
The CHUI HPC Cluster is a High-Performance Computing (HPC) platform established by KENET to support the research and education community.
The cluster provides both CPU and GPU computing resources and is designed to accelerate research in artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), scientific simulations, geospatial analysis, computational chemistry, and data-intensive applications.
CHUI is powered by the Slurm workload manager, enabling:
· GPU-accelerated computing
· Centralized job scheduling
· Unified high-performance storage
· Secure multi-tenant access
· Fair and efficient resource allocation
This infrastructure ensures researchers can run complex computational workloads efficiently and at scale.
Available Software and Tools
The following software modules are currently available on the cluster:
Scientific & Research Applications
· Quantum ESPRESSO
· Yambo
· GROMACS
Data Science & AI
· PyTorch
· Conda environments
Development Tools
· CMake
· VS Code
Research & Analysis Platforms
· RStudio
· Jupyter Notebooks
· Octave
· QGIS
Additional software can be installed upon request, subject to review and compatibility.
Data Security and Best Practices
CHUI is deployed with high security standards to ensure data integrity and user isolation.
However, users are responsible for:
· Protecting their access credentials (usernames, passwords, SSH keys)
· Maintaining independent backups of critical research data
Accessing the CHUI HPC Cluster
Researchers within the KENET community can register, log in and access user documentation through the official portal:
The portal provides:
· User registration instructions
· User documentation
· Support contact details
