Professor Abraham O. Idowu, a Nigerian, married, with three children, is one of the pioneering members of KENET from its inception, from the University of Eastern Africa, Baraton. He was the Head of department of Information Systems and Computing, which he started and established from the beginning with three degree programmes in Business Information Technology, Software Engineering, and  Networks  and Communication Systems.

He was at the same time the IT director, who developed and maintained the campus network for a long time before he became the current dean of the school of business which houses the department of Information Systems and Computing. Professor Abraham O. Idowu has been one of the members of the board of management of KENET since 2010
