Paul Muinde heads the ICT Department at Daystar University, Athi River, Kenya. He is a graduate of University of Manchester (UK), where he obtained a First Class BSc degree in Electronics and Electrical Engineering in 1982. He also holds an MSc degree (with distinction) in Computer Science from University of Sheffield (UK) and a Postgraduate Diploma in Management from the Kenya Institute of Management where he received an award for being the best student in the class of 1990. He started his ICT career at ICL (Kenya) Ltd in 1984 where he worked in hardware and software support.

He moved to Kenya Airways as an Assistant Computer Manager in 1989 and rose to be the Head of IT in 1993. At Kenya Airways he spearheaded the implementation of various systems including an ERP system. He also spearheaded several infrastructure projects. He went into ICT consultancy in 2000 and later was called to join Daystar University in 2004. Paul Muinde is a champion of best ICT and management practices. At Daystar University he has championed the development of the ICT infrastructure and implementation of a number of systems. He is married to Pastor Rose Muinde. They have four adult children. He currently resides in Athi River.
