Call for Nominations Advanced Network Management & Monitoring Training
We invite the KENET member institutions to nominate one of their experienced systems or network engineers/administrators for the Advanced Network Management and Monitoring residential course to be held on September 5 – 9, 2016 in the KENET training room located at the University of Nairobi.
The selection criteria for this training is:
- Applicants shall be senior Systems Administrators/Engineers with at least 3 year experience at a member institution.
- Applicant MUST have attended the previous Network Management and Monitoring Training. The applicant to demonstrate that he/she implemented the knowledge gained from the previous training.
- The applicant MUST show proof of projects they have implemented successfully on campus (Provide evidence).
- Applicants MUST be proficient in UNIX / LINUX operating system (e.g., have ISOC UNIX certification or LINUX certification or evidence of proficiency).
- Applicants MUST submit a brief CV with a portfolio of relevant projects or work experience (attach a copy of passport photo)
- Willingness to be a Trainer of trainers and support nominating institution or other KENET member institutions.
- Nomination letter by the applicant’s ICT director
- ICT directors shall NOT be eligible.

This is a fully sponsored course. This course will require certified UNIX competence and experience.
