The 1st Finance and Procurement Officers forum was held at the Sarova Stanley Hotel, Nairobi on Friday, September 9, 2016. There were more than 97 participants in attendance, with representatives from over 54 member universities. The forum was also attended by KENET management board members.
The aim of the forum was to discuss and evaluate the key roles of KENET and discuss the various challenges facing member universities. At the meeting the role of KENET as a special vehicle for providing ICT services to member institutions was discussed and how KENET can help its member institutions achieve their goals while providing quality services.
The key lessons learned from the forum that KENET can adopt are; constantly innovating and creating new ideas that will benefit KENET members and serve their unique needs and building new skills in new upcoming technologies.
