Phil Regnauld a Network Engineer and Trainer for the Network Startup Resource Center (NSRC) has been working closely with a team of KENET Engineers on various technical aspects of service delivery to the KENET community since January 2015.
On 24th April 2015, Wananchi group and members from the Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC) toured the KENET facilities as part of showcasing the Wananchi Schools Connectivity project partners. The meeting was attended by; Ms. Barbara Breton (Director, Private Equity, OPIC), Ms. Loyce Chole (Liaison Officer-Business Development, Wananchi Group) and KENET Engineers.
On April 13th-17st KENET held Scalable Campus Network Training residential hands-on course. The training is an advanced course for experienced network engineers and administrators. We had over 23 trainees from; Public Universities, Private Universities, and Constituent University Colleges.
The training was geared to equip the trainees with the skills to design and build scalable networks within their institutions which would ultimately lead to the network users experiencing better browsing experiences.
