20th Internet2 Global Summit
The 20th Internet2 (I2) Global Summit was held at the Chicago Marriott Downtown Magnificent Mile Hotel, Illinois, USA from May 15 to 18, 2016. There were more than 800 people in attendance, with representatives from over 40 countries globally. KENET was represented by Prof. Abraham Idowu (Management Board Member), Mr. Luke Matere (Shared Services Manager) and Mr. Hillary Cheserek (Senior Network Engineer).
Half-Day Research Infrastructures Forum
KENET held its first research infrastructures forum on May 18, 2016 at Safari Park Hotel, Nairobi. The forum was meant to create awareness on the advanced global e-infrastructures available to Kenyan Researchers whose institutions are connected to KENET broadband network.
