Kenya Education Network (KENET) is a National Research and Education Network that promotes the use of ICT in Teaching, Learning and Research in Higher Education Institutions in Kenya. KENET aims to interconnect all the Universities, Tertiary and Research Institutions in Kenya by setting up a cost effective and sustainable private network with high speed access to the global Internet.
KENET Staff take part in the Standard Chartered Nairobi Marathon
The 12th edition of the Standard Chartered Nairobi Marathon was held on 26th October 2014. KENET was represented in the marathon by its staff members who took part in the 21km and 10km races. The marathon is a Corporate Social Responsibility initiative focusing on the eradication of avoidable blindness in Kenya.
IBM CSC 5th Anniversary Video Highlights the KENET Success Story
The IBM Corporate Service Corps was launched in 2008 to help provide IBMers with high quality leadership development while delivering high quality problem solving for communities and organizations in emerging markets. They spent 3 months in Kenya and working with KENET in 2011.
UbuntuNet-Connect Workshop 2013
This years UbuntuNet-connect workshop was held at Lemigo Hotel in Kigali, Rwanda on 14-15 November 2013. The 6th in the series, the conference was hosted by one of the founding NRENs of the UbuntuNet Alliance, RwEdNet, the Rwandan NREN, with great support from the Ministry of Education.
