KENET conducted an advanced PerfSONAR training for experienced Network Engineers and Administrators from September 7th to 11th, 2015. The training was conducted by the following trainers’ Brian Candler (Network Startup and Resource Center), Scott Chevalier (Indiana University), and Patrick Okui (Network Startup and Resource Center). It was attended by 12 engineers from KENET and Academic Model for Prevention and Treatment of HIV/AIDS (AMPATH) of Moi University.
On August 1, 2015 KENET launched new web and video conference services. The services are expected to support collaboration among faculty and researchers, facilitate meetings by the KENET community staff, promote online capacity building workshops and teaching online courses.
KENET conducted a successful Network Management and Bandwidth Monitoring Training from, 28th July to August 1, 2015. The training was conducted at the KENET Training room located at University of Nairobi. The class had 25 participants from 24 KENET member institutions. The training was funded by Google and KENET.
