KENET has organized Network Management and Bandwidth management and optimization course (BMO) residential hands on training in the week of July 27-31, 2015. This is an advanced course for Network Engineers/Administrator and Systems Administrators.
On May 5th 2015, KENET gave travel grants to five faculty members from member institutions to attend the IST-Africa 2015 conference which was held in Lilongwe, Malawi. The five faculty members are; Dr. Moses Thiga (Kabarak University), Dr. Ciira Maina (Dedan Kimathi University of Technology), Ms. Mary Njeri Ngaruiya (University of Nairobi), Mr. Elizaphan Muuro Maina (Kenyatta University), and Mr. Gabriel Ndungu Maina (Murang’a University College).
When Meoli Kashorda traveled from Kenya to Indiana University recently, his main objective was to better understand the technical operations and sustainability of I-Light, the IU-run network that connects higher education institutions in the state.
