Digital inclusion refers to the efforts and policies aimed at ensuring that all individuals and communities have access to and effectively use digital technologies improving their digital skills.The goal of digital inclusion is to bridge the digital divide and create equal opportunities for everyone to participate in the increasingly digital and technology-driven aspects of modern society.
KENET conducted a five (5) day capacity building workshop for network/system administrators and ICT infrastructure managers from November 27- December 1, 2023 at the KENET Training room. The Scalable Campus Networks and Wireless LAN Design training was attended by 32 participants from 31 member institutions including universities, teaching hospitals, research institutions and university colleges. The training focused on mastering building of scalable campus networks through a practical and hands-on approach as they operate a TCP/IP network with inter-campus and international connectivity.

KENET has as one of its mandates, the role of catalyzing collaboration in research and education among member universities and research institutions. KENET promotes collaboration through facilitation of Special Interest Groups (SIGs) in priority academic areas, discovery of active researchers/faculty, provision of research and innovation grants to researchers and member institutions, as well as travel grants for faculty and/or graduate students in SIG areas.
