KENET successfully held an in-person forum for 2022 cohort of grantees on July 29, 2022 in Nairobi. The main purpose of forum was to for the research team to meet with KENET research services team, that includes the part-time research associate and learn about the KENET research computing platform The forum was also an opportunity for the different teams drawn from different university or research institutes in order to promote research collaboration. The grantees also received feedback from their proposal reviewers.
Engineering and Innovation are important pillars in the development of any society. For Kenya to industrialise and improve the wellbeing of her people, increasing investment in research and development within Engineering is a must. This call seeks to fund research in engineering with great potential for impact in Kenya.
The Computational Modelling and Materials Science (CMMS) is one of the Special Interest Group supported by KENET to enhance research capacity development in the use of computational modeling in science and technology.
The Computer Science and Information Systems (CS/IS) Research and Innovation Grants is intended to promote early-stage CS/IS research and development in current and emerging research areas, as well as strengthen the CS/IS SIG. The Research and Innovation grants target early-stage research, enabling researchers to undertake proof-of-concept work to support R&D ideas and concepts.
KENET has developed online courses to equip the KENET Community with relevant skills. These are online self-paced courses currently being offered by KENET at NO COST to its members. All the participants will require to undertake the courses are a laptop and Internet connection and a commitment to complete the course.
